Meet Julie

I wanted to create a natural-looking tan that felt beautiful on the skin, never sticky, smelled amazing, and gave you that just-back-from-vacation feeling.

South Seas Skin Care began after Julie was diagnosed with skin cancer in 2001. Wanting to achieve a beautiful tan without exposing her skin to harmful UV rays, she began searching for a better sunless-tanning experience—one that looked natural, felt comfortable on the skin, smelled great, and captured the warm, sun-kissed glow of the South Pacific.

At a time when many sunless-tanning products felt sticky, carried an unpleasant scent, or developed into overly warm, artificial-looking color, Julie saw an opportunity to create something different. She developed professional tanning solutions and body-care products designed to create a believable, natural-looking glow while making the entire experience feel like a tropical escape.

What began as a professional sunless-tanning brand grew through Julie’s dedication to quality, education, and the needs of tanning artists and their clients.
